The Tiffinian Association

The first Tiffinians alumni society, the Old Tiffinian Association (OTA) was formed in 1902 as a social and sporting club for alumni of Tiffin School.

In 1944 Old Tiffinians purchased an area of land near Hampton Court for the use of the School and Old Tiffinians. School rugby and cricket are still played at the school playing field, ‘Grists’ along with alumni rugby, cricket and football.

In 2009 the society was renamed the Tiffinian Association Limited (TAL) and became a charity (registered charity no.1125708). It then opened up its circulation list to ex-parents and other friends of the School.

The Association, with the co-operation of the School, currently holds:
  • a Summer Reunion at the School
  • career events for alumni and practice interviews for current students
  • a Skiff Marathon on the Thames
  • an Annual Dinner at the School
  • various small lunches for alumni

Further details of these and alumni clubs and societies are available on the Tiffin Friends website.

The Tiffinian Association produces a quarterly publication for alumni and friends of Tiffin School called Tiffnews. Past copies of Tiffnews can be viewed on the TiffinFriends website. If you wish to be included on the circulation list, please email your request to
